At the Bridge I got in the wrong lane and went through the SunPass Only Lane by mistake, how do I pay the toll?

A photograph was taken of the vehicle license plate and a Toll-by-Plate (TBP) toll enforcement invoice will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle. The invoices are mailed on a monthly basis and include all accumulated All-Electronic Tolling (AET) toll transactions plus a $2.50 per invoice Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) administrative fee. I didn't have any cash and was given an IOU, how do I pay the toll?

IOU payments should be made payable and mailed to:

Include a note with the name of the Toll Plaza “Mid-Bay Bridge”, the date, approximate time, make, model, license plate number and state of the vehicle. The cash toll at the Mid-Bay Bridge is $4.00 each way for a two-axle vehicle with an additional $4.00 each way for every axle over two. I lost my IOU, how do I pay the toll?

Can I pay the toll with a credit card?

No. The acceptable forms of payment are as follows:

 

  • At the Mid-Bay Bridge Toll Plaza there are three manned mixed-use lanes in each direction which accept cash, local check or SunPass and one dedicated SunPass Only lane in each direction. The cash toll at the Mid-Bay Bridge is $4.00 each way for a two-axle vehicle with an additional $4.00 each way for every axle over two. Click on Tolls at the top of the page for additional information.

 

  • The Spence Parkway is an All-Electronic Toll (AET) Toll-by-Plate (TBP) facility. A photograph is taken of the vehicle license plate and an invoice is mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle on a monthly basis which includes all accumulated AET toll transactions for the month plus a $2.50 per invoice administrative fee and payment option information. The TBP toll on the Spence Parkway is $2.00 each way for a two-axle vehicle with an additional $2.00 each way for every axle over two. What is the fine for not paying the toll?

Fine is determined by the Courts, can be up to $100.00.

I used the Spence Parkway recently, when will I receive the Toll-by-Plate (TBP) bill in the mail?

Why is there a $2.50 per invoice Administrative Fee on the Toll-by-Plate (TBP) invoice?

The $2.50 Administrative Fee is charged by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE). The administrative fee covers the costs of administering the Toll-by-Plate (TBP) All-Electronic Tolling (AET) program. It includes reviewing photographic images of license plates captured at the tolling point, generating and sending invoices, processing toll payments received, and other related costs. My car has a different state license plate than my trailer (i.e., Florida/Michigan), where is the Toll-by-Plate (TBP) invoice mailed?

An invoice will be mailed to the first registered owner of the license plate captured by the camera.

Who gets the Toll-by-Plate (TBP) invoice when a flatbed is towing a vehicle?

I was in a rental car, who receives the bill for the toll?

As the registered owner of the vehicle the rental car company will receive the invoice and charge the credit card provided at the time of rental for the All-Electronic Tolling (AET) toll transactions for the month plus a $2.50 Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) administrative fee. Also, in accordance with the rental agreement, signed at the time of rental, the rental car company will charge the credit card provided for any additional fees associated with AET usage. Does the Mid-Bay Bridge or the Spence Parkway recognize toll payment devices from other states?

At this time the Florida SunPass program is compatible with E-Pass, LeeWay, Georgia PeachPass, North Carolina QuickPass and EZPass.

What is Toll-By-Plate (TBP)?

Toll-By-Plate (TBP) is a state wide program implemented by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE). Without slowing or stopping a photograph is taken of the license plate and a bill is mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle. Each monthly invoice includes all accumulated All-Electronic Tolling (AET) transactions plus a $2.50 per invoice administrative fee. Why do I have to pay a cash toll at the Bridge?

The Mid-Bay Bridge is not set up for Toll-by-Plate at this time. For motorist convenience there are three manned mixed-use lanes in each direction which accept cash, local check, SunPass, E-Pass, LeeWay, Georgia PeachPass, North Carolina QuickPass and EZPass and one dedicated SunPass Only lane in each direction.

I have a leased vehicle, why am I receiving a Toll Violation Notice from my leasing company?

The Spence Parkway is an All-Electronic Tolling (AET) Toll-by-Plate (TBP) facility which means a photograph is taken of the vehicle license plate and an invoice, which includes a $2.50 administrative fee, is mailed to the registered owner, in this case the leasing company.

I paid the $4.00 toll at the Bridge. Why am I receiving a Toll-by-Plate (TBP) invoice in the mail for $6.50?

Most likely you travelled the Spence Parkway which continues around Niceville from the Mid-Bay Bridge to SR85. The Parkway has its own Tolling Point which utilizes Toll-By-Plate (TBP), an All-Electronic Tolling (AET) system in which a photograph is taken of the vehicle license plate and an invoice is mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle. Invoices are mailed on a monthly basis and include all accumulated AET toll transactions plus a $2.50 per invoice administrative fee.

What is the height/width clearance at the Toll Plaza?

All lanes at the Mid-Bay Bridge Toll Plaza and Spence Parkway Gantry Tolling Point have a 17′ height clearance. The lane width at the Bridge is the widest in the far right lanes in each direction at 14.5′. The inner three lanes in each direction at the Bridge are 14′ wide as are both lanes in each direction on the Parkway.
