The quickest way to Destin and the beaches of South Walton is the Choctawhatchee Mid-Bay Bridge. Save time by taking the Mid-Bay Bridge straight from Hwy. 20 in Niceville to Hwy. 98 in Destin. That’s a lot more time to enjoy the beach, and the scenery is beautiful! Toll required.

Since opening in June 1993, the Mid-Bay Bridge has served the region as part of a north-south connection in Northwest Florida. Spanning the Choctawhachee Bay in Okaloosa County, the bridge acts as a primary transportation system used for commuting and traveling between I-10, Niceville and Destin. It is also part of the hurricane evacuation route for southern Okaloosa County.
The 3.6 mile, two (2)-lane toll bridge provides travelers a quicker, more direct route to their community or Emerald Coast vacation destination.
